I'm actually excited about the new contender

I only watched the second series and didn't like it much at all. I hated how they only showed the abbreviated dramatized fight sequences rather than actual matches then when you got to the end and they fought for real the fights were total mismatches.

They have alot of fighters I'm familiar with in this series at 168 pounds but most importantly they're going to show the entire fights. This to me makes it real. Without the real fights to me at least it was just another crappy 'reality TV' show.

I liked the Contender US vs UK series. They showed the fights in full and with none of that reality tv show bull ****.

By all means, show them training ,but i wanna see the whole fights WITHOUT dramatic music... and also.. without the fights being edited so that it looks more even than it is.

Each fight seems like a Rocky film. The first round goes one way, the 2nd goes the toehr and so forth. In reality it probs werent like that. Plus theres sound effects added.

Sly - you ****ed up boxing!

I loved the first series as it got me into boxing properly.
I liked the training contests in the first series they were real good.
the second series was ****, they didnt show real alot of training and the fighters were extremly one sided. Im really lookin forward to the new series with good fighters on it.

And it was all that extra dramatization that damaged the credibility of the Contender guys. That is why the public dismissed them more as "reality stars", than boxers. Well, the Manfredo performance vs Joe CalSlappy didn't help either.

I'm glad that they accepted the feedback about the slow-mo and the sound effects. That was garbage.

Also, having SRL as the face of the show gives it more credibility than having a plastic-faced Stallone doing it.

When i saw the line up i was very excited also, i dont really like the contender to be honest, last time i watched it, it was a bunch a bums fighting for 5 rounds,

Plus there were obviously some dodgy decisons, anyone wonder how loads of those fights were 2-2 going into the 5th round, or was that me?
