    ESPN vs. VERSUS

I actually like Versus because some of the exciting fights they've had lately. But after watching fights last night I almost had to mute it. Teddy and Joe do a much better job of telling it how it is. The louder guy of the two, I'm not good with their names yet, spouts out some horrible information. The thing that caught my attention the most was when he said he gave rounds 7 and 8 to Huerta's opponent, thats horrible. Huerta clearly won those two rounds just as much as he did the others. The only difference is that the guy might have landed two good shots for those two rounds. But it was still his two good shots vs. Huerta's 20 powershots. I could tell the other guy disagreed but didnt want to tell him how ****** it was.

As much as most of you guys dislike Teddy. He's almost 100% of the time giving good information. I score fights as I'm watching and the only time I differ with him is a REAL close round.

Think they need to hire some new guys for Versus.

    Versus has the better fights.

ESPN either has nobodies fighting, or a powerhouse fighting some dude with 13 losses. Not very exciting. At least we got to see the likes of Kid Diamond and Hasim Rahman on Versus. Not gods of the ring, but better than Terry Smith.

VERSUS can be more selective they only air fights once a month.

I also like Versus better, but ESPN has had some great fights this year

I agree with you about Versus not having many fights though. Am I forgetting or did boxing not used to be a seasonal thing? I know they used to not air it because baseball or something was on, which agrivated me, but now they shut it down completely.

I want boxing twice a week, every week!

Bob arum has a great opportunity to bring great fights to Vs, Guy has given us some good fights but also alot of crap recently. Especially with Tye fields against a "Bum" Two "Bums" in a main event.

Versus has better production - and Nick Charles is a good commentator but I don't care for Wally Whatshisname doing color

Versus has the better quality fights, but ESPN at least shows fights almost every week. I like both commentary crews and the addition of Nick Charles to Versus was a good move. I saw there first broadcast together and Wally and Nick seemed to have a good flow.
