      I beg to differ.

Mayweather knows he will be damaged by Hatton in this fight - which is why he's going to dance now. After the fight he'll be lucky to beat Ali in a race.

          Lame insults to the Thunderdome.

The fact that Floyd is taking dancing lessons instead of focusing completely on perhaps the most difficult fight of his career is not a good sign for Floyd fans. If any other fighter was doing it, that fighter's fans would be unhappy. From what I've seen of these shows, they are always saying that its incredible how much time and effort you have to dedicate to it and how many injuries you pick up from it. I've heard professional athletes saying that its a huge strain and although it exercises muscles you havent used in years, it is very tough. Particularly as Floyd's competitive instincts will likely not keep him happy unless he wins. Doing something that requires as much dedication when you are supposed to be preparing for a fight is a bad idea to me.

You think if he looses, he will use the dancing as an excuse?

As an OBJECTIVE Floyd fan, I do not think he should be doing this. Check this out:

              1) The contestants on the show practice 20-30 hours per week.

              2) In addition, you have photo shoots, walk-throughs, rehearsals, media interviews and costume fittings, etc...

              3) The show is filmed in Los Angeles. Floyd lives and trains in Vegas. He will be commuting. The flight is an hour plus airport wait times, etc.

              4) Floyd will be using muscles, tendons, ligaments that are not heavily used in boxing. Cross-training. Although I doubt he'll do any crazy leaps, he does risk nagging injuries. Jerry Rice is one of the world's best conditioned athletes. He said it was demanding and he was sore.

              5) The dancing is ALL done on your legs. When you add up the amount of roadwork and sparring, for example, it doesn't add up to five hours per day. FMJ will be putting an extraordinary demand on his legs over an extended period of time.

              If Floyd loses...NO EXCUSE. NONE.

But if Ricky STILL loses, then Hatton really is garbage.

This is just going to be another excuse when Floyd struggles in the ring or even loses.

Jerry Rice was older. NO DOUBT.

But he is still somebody that knows what a physically demanding process is. Rice played a full NFL schedule and scored touchdowns the year before.

Everyone who did it said that it was challenging. Do YOU have information to the contrary?
