    Is Winky done/washed up?????

I don't think so. He's still by far my favorite fighter. But man did Manny give him a ripping after the Hopkins fight which was unjust. Sure his balance is pretty bad. But he's only like 36 he has atleast a couple of years left in boxing to do some more damage. And I thought he got shafted somewhat in the decision with Hopkins. Now I didn't think he won the fight but I didn't think he lost the Hopkins fight especially by that margin. That was rediculous.

But what yall think what's next for Wink or what's ideal? I say it's a lock he'll fight Pavlik if Kelly gets by Jermain. I think Kelly wouldn't turn down the opportunity for a big fight with Winky. But Jermain is porbably out of the question becuase Jermain is moving up for sure. And I don't think Vernon will come up to 160 and fight Winky.

Hell no. People are only saying such because Manny Steward said it. I mean lets get real he was 16 pounds north of his usual weight class. He will do just fine at 160 again.

      Yeah I agree. I see him still as a 10 P4P fighter.

Same with me. He's got no hunger anymore though. He has been fighting big names alot lately and cashing in. I dont see the same type of hunger I saw him right around the Mosley fights.

            I agree with this.

Only 36 years old?? That's old in the fight game. I think he needs one more pay day then he'll retire and that's why he's calling out DLH (Boxing's Ultimate retirement fund). Which is a fight I could see Winky with a UD.

i would like to see him retire
winky has had a great career and has nothing more to prove
imo he didnt lose against hopkins
i scored the fight a draw and pretty much gave it to wright cuz all hopkins did was his best holyfield impression and held and head butted the whole fight
winky isnt in his prime anymore obviously and he tends to get hit more of course that what happens when u get older
but with that said i think he can still beat anybody at 160
manny steward is a hater and half the things he says doesnt really make sense
he's a puppet on hbo he might as well just throw on some shoes and start dancing

He accomplished a lot and could retire. At 160 I don't see him getting a belt. At 154 he was great tho. What annoyed me was how his punches looked at 170.

One average performance 16 pounds above your best division doesn't mean you should retire. Arthur Abraham is back at 160 waiting for a big fight. Wink still has options.

winky is my fav fighter and i dont think hes even close to beng done, however, hes not near his prime either....it sucks because he has really been screwed off his legacy...he was robbed baltantly of his victories over Vargas, Simon and Taylor.....i also had him beating Vazquez, other than the kd's, Wink toyed with him.....and of course the Hopkins fight in which IMO he won 7 rounds to 4 with one even.....

if all tose fights had gone his way, he wouldve been undefeated and the undisputed champ at three different weight classes, jr mid, middle and light heavy....

damn i get pissed every time i think about it...
