What if Tyson and Kevin Rooney never Split?

What if Mike stayed with Kevin Rooney after that Michael Spinks fight and remained focused as a fighter. How long do you think he stays undefeated?

If he was focused and committed to being a great fighter and continued with the fundamentals he learned. Instead of changing trainers, partying and in the ring becoming a head hunter and not moving his head or working the body 1st.

It just would've been a delay of the same result with his first loss being to Holyfield instead. Seeing that Mike was a head case waiting to happen, I think the out of the ring elements still help bring him down ultimately and contribute to the downward spiral that was his legacy.

And Tyson never fought a prime Evander. Doesnt matter though. Holyfield beats him every time. Heart of a lion vs heart of a field mouse. Lion wins every time.

Tyson is fun to watch but the only opponents he beat were bums except for Larry Holmes. Not his fault that the heavy weight era ****** during his time line aswell. But I'd pick holyfield and lewis to always beat Tyson. Tyson only had his speed and power when he fought opponents who were afraid of him.

There is a big difference between the Tyson, Evander fought in 1996 and the Tyson of 1986 thru 1988.

Prime Tyson would KO 1996 Tyson within 3 rounds. Thats how big a difference it is.

Losing 4 years in any sport, there is no way you can get back to how you were at your peak. The ability to make a guy miss and come back with a counterpunch immedietely. Tyson lost that ability, and basically just became a head hunter who got tired fast. Prime Tyson could fight at a fast pace for a much longer period of time and maintain his head movement with consistency. As he got older he might use a little head movement, but once he got tired he stopped doing it and just started taking punches.

Evander had a lot more left in 1996 and 1997 because he had been active and fighting on a regular basis.

Had Tyson stayed with Rooney, who knows what the outcome would have been... All i can say is it wouldnt have turned out the way it did, Rooney kept Tyson leveled and under control and at the time was like a big brother to Tyson but once Cus (the dad) died and guys like Don King started to get to Tyson and throw the money and the girls in his face he basically became a different guy! So had he still had the leveled appraoch that Rooney brought him he'd probley would have KO'ed Douglas and never been charged with ****... Thus the 90's would be tottally different.... AND ALSO A YOUNG TYSON WOULD HAVE MURDER A 96 TYSON, EVANDER AND LEWIS
