Recently i ran an article on my blog, about De La Hoya's legacy, not being that badly affected after his losses, because the quality of the opponent had been so good and except for the Hopkins loss, all fights were close. Like i said on the boxing addict blog, i still have to rate Oscar as the second finest of this generation behind Evander. And if Oscar wins another world title belt, which will happen, then he is the best of this generation.
There is a silent rule in boxing. that is if you fight the best, and put up a decent show, your legacy remains intact. This ensures the best fight the best. This rule is what boxing needs, and everyone knows.
