Who should Kessler pick for sparring?

Mikkel Kessler on the subject (translated from http://www.teampalle.dk/composite-1443.htm )

    Quote:
It's very important for my preparations, for Mogens and Bettina to find the perfect sparring partner. That could be a difficult job, as I can't think of a lot of guys, who in stature or style reminds me of the explosive Joe Calzaghe.

I'd have to agree, I can't think of a remotely similar southpaw (incl. MW-LHW)
What do you guys think - Who would you pick?

I think he would be a good fit, but I'm pretty sure Kessler vs. Bute is in the near future, and I doubt either of them would like to "show and tell" beforehand.

It's tought to say .. Becasue Calzaghe is somewhat unorthodoxed... And I dont just mean his stance.. but his whole style..

SO my Plan would be.. Or my 2 main sparring partners anyways..

One must be Bigger and stronger.. so in Kessler's case. to look for a Cruiser Weight
And the Other Must be faster.. so maybe a Welter or Light Middle..

This way come fight night.. The punches wont seem so hard.. and they wont seem so fast..

When ever people train on simulators (for example a Flight Sim) The Sims are always more difficult than the actual operation of what is being Sim'd

That is the mentality I would take..

According to you in the past 1500 posts...Calzaghe is not a class fighter.

just because he thinks kessler wins, doestn mean he think joe stinks..

no body in their right mind, can claim either is a bad fighter..

well to the answer your question peder, if kessler could chose without limitations, then a southpaw, with fast hands, good wovement and elusive , then there is only one other fighter to chose.. chad dawson..

No. He thinks that Joe stinks because he has said on a number of occasions...that Joe stinks.
