and Edgar Sosa will fight as the co-feature against Lorenzo Trejo

Arce opponent named!

Super flyweight superstar Jorge "Travieso" Arce (46-4-1, 35 KOs) returns to the ring against Tomas Rojas (26-10, 18 KOs) in an unusual Sunday night fight card on September 16 at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. For fight fans in town for the big Juan Manuel Marquez-Rocky Juarez PPV clash taking the night before, the card will be a good reason to add another night to their Vegas trip. For the two-division, three-time world champion Arce, the fight will be the first step back after his unsuccessful challenge for the WBC super flyweight title against Cristian Mijares in April. The clash with Rojas will be for the WBC Latin bantamweight championship. As previously announced, WBC mini-flyweight champion Edgar Sosa (28-5, 14 KOs) will defend against Lorenzo Trejo (30-15, 17 KOs) on the same card. Both bouts will be televised by TV Azteca.

Top Rank will come right back to the Hard Rock less than three weeks later on October 4th with a card to be televised by Versus. The main event for that show is not yet set, but Top Rank is hoping to feature IBF light flyweight champion Ulises "Archie" Solis (25-1-2, 19 KOs), coming off his spectacular KO of Rodel Mayol on August 4.
