WBC CABOFE middleweight champion Miguel Espino, of North Hollywood Ca, puts his title on the line against former "Contender" season one classmate, Juan De La Rosa, as they both square off in a 10 round main event, September 21st 2007, at the Double Tree Hotel in Bakersfield Ca. Manny Cota of Cota Boxing Promotions is ecstatic about promoting the clash between the former "Contender" stars, and believes this bout has all the elements for a classic showdown as he stated, "Matchmaker Benki Cantua help put this fight together and I'm excited about this bout being that they're both young, hungry, warriors. Sylvester Stallone and Sugar Ray Leonard did a great job showcasing these talented fighters in season one, and I plan to do the same with this fight. Although both have moved on from the "Contender" series, I do believe the public will inquire to see who wins this fight, as well as the media. Being that the fight will be a ten round bout, those in attendance will get to see the real talents of both Espino and De La Rosa. [details]
