Casamayor to fight on Mosley-Cotto undercard!

CASAMAYOR TO RETURN ON NOVEMBER 10!
    By G. Leon

Golden Boy Promotions matchmaker Eric Gomez has informed **********.com that world lightweight champion Joel Casamyor will return to the ring on November 10 as part of the televised undercard to the Cotto-Mosley mega-fight at Madison Square Garden. As this goes to print, WBC #1 rated lightweight Armando Santa Cruz appears to be the frontrunner to be Casamayor's opponent.

This dude should have had a earlier shot, I havent seen a bad fight fought by Casamayor since he's been on my TV. He is gettin older and slower, but he's classy with punches. Short Arms, but probably the most effective short amrs you'll ever see. He's my Ideal fighter..

That would be a great fight if it happens. Casita wants to fight top opposition and this is a good, top 10 guy who prepares him very well for a fight with Katsidis, the guy Joel most wants to fight.

I'm not convinced on Katsidis at all..

Casamayor and Diaz should be takin place instead of this bull****. But Casamayor deserves to earn some big easy paychecks, but he should face off with Diaz as soon as possible.

Dont even trip this guy Santa cruz is a real intertaining fighter and allways comes to fight, He was beating David Diaz untill he started gettying tired in the late rounds and got stoped, This should be a good fight.

yeah Cruz has good defense and jab. He could suprise many. If Casamayor doesnt go to the body to open Cruz defense he could be in trouble but i dont know if his punchs is hard enough to hurt cruz too

the Diaz fight Diaz was not scoring but he was going to the body alot from the 1 round intell the his trainer gave him the green light to KO Cruz it was a good strategy.

Well with the Diaz-Diaz faceoff on Oct.13, that fight is obviously not possible until next year, but I do think the winner of that fight should fight Casamayor early next year, assuming Casamayor beats Santa Cruz.

Kind in mind, however, that Katsidis is Juan Diaz's mandatory, and Golden Boy may try to go that route with Katsidis before trying to make Casamayor-Juan Diaz with Don King. If Katsidis beat Juan Diaz, then Golden Boy could stage a unification fight with their own two guys, a much more lucrative (and safe, since they would obviously have the winner) option than trying to put an aging Casamayor in there with Juan Diaz.

Jaun Diaz wants to unifcation then he is going but I think David Diaz has the same trainer which is kinda of a trick thing to do

A prime Casamayor would chase Katsidis all over the ring, but Katsidis is younger and tough, so it would be a tough fight. I think Santa Cruz is also a tough opponent given his size.
