I just checked on boxrec and Arreola's not really fighting anyone of mention. I'd like to see this young prospect step up like the up-and-coming Russian prospect Povetkin is...

Arreola is a great contender the guy he's fighting has only one loss so at least he's not going David Tua with his career. He'll definetly be fighting for a belt next year

If he fights for a title he'll definitely lose. Arreola is sloppy, has a very flawed technique, and a defense that's all but missing. I've seen him fight 5 or 6 times and he hasn't looked good against the stiffs and tomato cans they've put in front of him so what makes everyone think he'll be a champ one day? My guess is he'll win against a few more taxi drivers and then he'll lose against the first top 10 guy he faces by KO.

The guy he’s fighting, Thomas Hayes, seems to be a decent journeyman with a record of 26-1, 18 KOs. So it seems like Arreola’s team is selecting his opponents carefully but in a calculated manner. Look for Arreola to fight a top ranked contender in 2008…

yea I'm not saying he's gonna beat Chagaev, Klitschko or Peter (soon to be WBC champ) but he's definetly gonna get the chance.
