Here is something that I have heard athletes complain about. Their finances are in the newspaper. Their "pay stubs" are essentially laid out in the newspaper, and people are discussing whether he deserves this or deserves that.

Some of you guys came on this public forum and talked about how Mayweather should have fought this way or that way because he made $26 million. Would you like it if someone said that your last batch of french fries was too salty, and you shouldn't have made $8 per hour. Or whatever.

So, Floyd was (crudely) highlighting the inequities. Floyd is a public person. Brian Kenny is a public person. If we can discuss FMJ's earnings, then let's discuss BK's earnings.

Duran was lot like Mayorga as far as the trash talk but Duran was a tip top all time great P4P fighter.

PDF I think trys to be some what like Ali with his but if you look back Ali was very disliked for what he said at that time.

I think as Floyd gets older and maybe has a loss or two he will calm down and become that 'good guy' that he was when he first started.

People overlook the fact that in the AMS and in his first few years as a pro Floyd was thought to be the same kind of good guy as Mosley,Oscar,Forrest ect.

But his self promotion has taken over his image and the money seems to have gone to his head.

My message to him would be

#1. stop talking so much about money..we all know you are rich and have more then most of us will ever see it doesn't matter, and no one likes a show off when it comes to that sort of thing.

#2. Stop talking about guns...You're a boxer not a gangsta, You're a real man a real warrior, you don't need a gun.

#3. Being flashy is great.... but disrespecting people is unneeded when you have such great skills.
Trash talk can make your skills overlooked
Do your talking in the ring instead and you will see that you will be given more credit for the win.

#4. Again being flashy is good... But you already are a big name in the sport and people will buy your fights without as much promotion now.

since i've been lurking on this site, i noticed that there's a difference of perception between floyd and ricardo mayorga based on the trash talk they do to promote their foghts. i just want you guys to point out why posters offended by comments made by floyd towards his opponets while mayorga can insult his opponents dead mothers and be considered entertaining, even though he ends up loosing the fight?

Win or lose Mayorga comes to actually fight.
