Set to the tune of one of Edwin Starr's lesser-known hits, watch Dunne get blitzed cold to "You're Gonna Have An Ass Pwnage":

No, he wasn't actually complaining to his corner.
He was saying: 'It's over?? What the ****?? It's over?'
He was in shock basically, and also greatly embarassed. Such was the level of class that the irish media had continously claimed he was, that it was a hard dose of reality to him to get blasted off of that.
And I've always complained about that silly 'Hands raised either side, dance away from opponent' stance he does when he comes off a flurry, and that's exactly how he got caught. Kind of reminds me of how Naz got caught be Kevin Kelly. Dunne had a **** guard.
Full cong**** to Martinez for making the most of it and going in there to kill.
Ricky Hatton was present at the fight, and I bet he was thinking, now that's exactly what I need to do to Floyd.Comment

That right hook by Martinez on the second KD came from right field. He reared back and let it fly. Then when he landed Dunne looked like he left his feet.Comment

I guess RTE will have to turn their attention to Andy Lee (if he fights in Ireland often) or even John Duddy.
It's a shame really, given that Dunne was helping to raise the profile of boxing in Éire. It's always good to see a prospect get chin checked though.
I guess a logical match-up would be Hunter vs Dunne, two fighters found wanting at world level.
I believe Martinez has signed with Dennis Hobson, so we'll be seeing more of him. Give him a year or so and put him in with Ponce, should be fun.Comment
