You make some good points and some biased points. Cotto and Hatton are in-fighters what is wrong with doing what works for you?I don't think either of them can beat floyd but they will be a very tough challenge for him.

Cotto has a great jab. Just ask Manny Steward and George Foreman, who both complimented on it in his last fights. Hatton isn't one dimensional either, he has slick footwork, and he CAN counter punch. You must be going by what you read like most people. Unless you're an alt...

He isn't faster though. At all. The argument could be made that he is a better boxer, he certainly gets hit less, but faster? Rick beats him for handspeed easily and his feet are as fast as anyone's in boxing. Nobody closes down opponents as fast as Hatton.

Cotto hits harder, Hatton throws more punches, Cotto walks down an opponent, Hatton throws from angles using his footspeed, Cotto has a great jab, Hatton relies on a frenetic pace.

i'm not sure if hatton is faster than cotto but cotto is not one dimensional if you watch his earlier fights he boxes and uses his jab and he is not really an inside fighter like hatton who smothers and grabs and is almost always leaning on his opponents you barley see miguel layin on his opponents he just walks them down.hatton just walks in he's wreckless he's nothing like cotto the only similarity is that they both like to go to the body but cotto is a way better boxer than hatton

when hatton throws punches in angles he always looks of balance it looks like if he gets caught with a good counter punch in one of those exchanges that he will drop

MAYWEATHER would destroy both fighters because they are both one dementional fighters. they both like to fight on the inside.Its there only game.Neither has a jab,and there game is to cut off the ring smother your shots, and throw killer shots to the body.there not good counter punchers either so there is nothing floyd has to worry about coming back at him.They both got out boxed by c rated boxers with no power at all.cotto got out boxed by pauli maliagi, and hatton by collogzo. even though they both won those c rated fighters gave them the time of there life and almost beat them.Mayweather is a master at all the things that gave them problems.HE also has power at 154 its not one punch power but its decent enough to ko either fighter because they both have SOFT chins, there both easy to hit,and most important there both little guys just like floyd. which makes it super easy for the pound for pound king.mayweather is very strong at 147, when fighting those big guys like de la hoya ,and baldimir floyd had to simply be smart and be illusive, out box them ,stick and move.But with these two the threat is not as great, reguardless what you might think. I know what your gonna say already about cotto. His body punching ,his body punching! Please let me tell you from experince.When you have a sharp, crisp, intellegent, accurate counter puncher in front of you, that changes everything. cotto completly commits hiMself when going to the body.This leaves him exposed and thats the reason he's been hurt so many times,not to mention he's slow because he loads up on every punch.Floyd is no amerture he will exploit cottos flaws and make him look like a c class fighter. Its the same for hatton almost the exact same only differnce being is that hatton is not as strong as cotto so the fight will be easier and end sooner.
