Urango I'd disagree with. Hatton showcased his boxing skills for the first 6 rounds beautifully and then it degenerated into a glorified backyard brawl. I never saw Urango give him much trouble at all, if any.

Yeah skelter very true. People tend to overvalue how a guy does against expectations. I remember how many people thought Sam Soliman nearly beat Winky Wright when he won about 2 rounds. I think the Collazo fight isn't to that extreme but its in a similar vain. I was probably more troubled by the Urango fight in terms of how Hatton looked than the Collazo fight but all that went away with the sensational performance against Castillo. Plus most tops stars need a big event to truly bring out their A Game: case in point being how Cotto looked sloppy against urkal but dominant for the most part against Judah

Well certainly Mayweather would still be amazing at 140lbs, and he shouldn't have to drop the weight completely to come to Hatton's level. Both should meet in the middle, I'm just saying the difference in Ricky at 140 and 147 are night and day.

I'd pick Mayweather to beat him at either level, but not without my reservations at 140lbs. Hatton doesn't get any credit at all around here when in reality he's actually a damn good fighter, and exciting to watch (minus his Urango and Collazo).

I only saw the fight once.. Normaly I have the benifet of Re-watching fights.. But I seem to recall Hatton being very uncomfortable with Urangos Body work later in the fight.. I didnt say it was a close Fight.. just That Urango gave him a tough time..

Ahh, I see. Urango does have solid work downstairs, and Hatton seemed to slow at the end of the fight, even being hurt later if I remember correctly. But I just didn't consider that real trouble is all. Not the kind of trouble Collazo gave him anyway.

Yeah he was moved pretty good by that body shot but that's where Hatton's style paid off. He uses the inside hit and grab style which pays off when you are hurt because it is a natural move that you are used to doing in addition to making it possible that you don't let the other fighter know he hurt you since you are tied up. Skelter, I do agree that the net fans are too hard on Hatton. He is a very good boxer.

You see I don't think Urango hurt Hatton at any point apart from the fifth round which he won. It did become a scrappy affair after the sixth has Ricky seemed to fade badly but I don't think he was in any trouble apart from in the fifth. I gave Hatton the Urango fight ten rounds to two, giving Juan the fifth and eleventh. His toughest fight was Collazo without a doubt, I think it was just a bad night for Ricky.

I would say Collazo, but the Vince phillips fight deserves a mention, although i aint watched it in ages.

                    Urango fights this friday.

And Urango hurt Hatton BADLY to the body in round 6 or 7, but Hatton recovered and clinched the rest of the fight cause he didnt wanna get hurt again. Other then that round he won every single round

Yeah he did hurt him with body punches.

And that was the most hurt I've ever seen him. He was just getting tagged against Collazo but wasn't as hurt as he was against Urango.

I'd say Collazo was his toughest fight however.
