im not bothering with the mayweather fight but the BIG fights are going to be something special to remember 2007 by......the one im hyped about most in the list is the cotto-mosley fight......2nd def would be the kessler-joe c fight....i agree with kball on that one....looks like a classic in the making....a close 3rd i have taylor-pavlik....i got taylor to go out and show why he is the middleweight champion.....hope he has to get off his ass to do it though.....then a close 4th is the pac-mab rematch.....my early pick was pac but recent reports got me thinking twice about it......and a distant 5th is of course the hatton fight...i hope its a fight......all in all a great way to end the year though.....about damn time......

      1.Hatton-Mayweather

For me it will be the most entertaining fight of the year...as was de la hoya / mayweather (as of that night it was my most entertaining fight of the year).

its the fight i look forward to most (as was de la hoya mayweather) because im looking for someone (possibly but not likely...like hatton) to finally shut mayweather up.

any fight mayweather has will be the fight i look forward to (unless i hate the guy he's fighting...which will be hard to come by compared to the way mayweather acts).

i like de la hoya/mayweather BECAUSE i am also a fan of oscar so that would have made it twice as special for me if he beat mayweather.

      2.Cotto-Mosley
its hard for me to see exactly how this fight will play out...im sure once its over it will all click in my brain and i will be like...OH...now i get it...i could have seen that coming...

but anything could happen in this fight...its a real close fight...i like both fighters a lot...should be highly enteraining and should easily measure up to cotto/judah.

      3.Pavlik-Taylor
im really excited to see taylor defend his title against one of the best in the middleweight division (ONE OF THE BEST...not THEE best) and im excited to know he'll be defending the title against a REAL power puncher. it will be a fight (in my opinion) where taylor bounces back and fourth on the verge of success and disaster...it will be one of those fights you hesitate to miss just a second of the fight because it should be action packed.

      4.Pacquiao-Barrera II

will be enteraining to see who can win this fight...im going with pacquiao but barrera has a chance...it will be a great fight with speed and power...a great PPV card.

      5. Calzaghe-Kessler
this is a great fight BUT its being overshadowed due to the fact there are so many great fights occuring in the same time span...its going to (in my opinion) take away the excitement just because nearly half of all the big names (media wise) in boxing will be all in the news but it will still be a great fight regardless...just dont look for much attention by the boxing media...

Everything else. I don't care what the 'mainstream' latches on to. This is the best fight in boxing until proven otherwise.

One more note: boxing media has already been very good to Cal-Kess. It's being treated as an equal to the other big fights by ESPN and if HBO has any sense they'll give it a countdown show like they're doing with Taylor-Pavlik. After all, the Taylor-Pavlik winner is natural for Kessler iof he wins and Cal-Hopkins is natural if the opposite occurs...not to mention that the Kess-Cal winner should be favored over anyone from 60-75 at that point.

The reason they are putting so much money into PAVLIK-TAYLOR is:

              a) Is a garunteed amazing fight

              b) Its for the Middleweight championship, which has ALWAYS been very popular

              c) Its WIN/WIN. If Pavliks wins, they have a new superstar. If Taylor wins, they have an old superstar who is now a new superstar (if u know what i mean by that)

Most Exciting: Mosley-Cotto. I don't see this fight being anything other than awesome.

Runner-Up: Taylor-Pavlik. I don't think it will be the slugfest some people are predicting, but I think this one is gonna be really entertaining. I see a lot of hard punches being landed even if the action isn't non-stop.

Sleeper: Pacquiao-Barrera II. A Pacman runaway victory remains a possibility, but does anyone really feel comfortable counting out Barrera? I think the Baby Faced Assassin wants to make this fight his grand finale, and I just don't see him repeating his 2003 performance.

I'm actually surprised anyone would be more hyped about Taylor-Pavlik than Cal-Kess. Pavlik has one solid win; I'm not sure Taylor has any decisive solid wins and few of his fights are exciting. Cal-Kess are combo throwing action fighters, one who is slightly past his best and one at the peak of his game. Must be a borders thing.

                    mayweather - hatton
                    mosley - cotto
                    paquaio - barrera
                    taylor - pavilak
                    calzaghe - kessler

i think the taylor fight and the calzaghe fight wont be as exciting as people are hyping it up to be

but im sure every bout will be entertaining

Hey, I would not be shocked if Hatton-Mayweather became a classic. People sleep on Hatton
