    Answers:
1- Clinton Mitchell is a former nationally rated amateur boxer who turned pro and won a four round decision over Bernard "The Executioner" Hopkins in both their pro debuts back in 1988

2- Abdelkader Marbi became the first man to beat then undefeated (14-0) Vinny Pazienza in a lightweight fight held in 1984 on NBC. There was actually some big controversy surrounding this fight (and its ending) and for a time it was even called a "No-Contest" by some but I just noticed on the internet boxing records site it is called a victory for Marbi.

    3. Sugar Ray Leonard is named Ray Charles Leonard after the singer. Most know that one. Most don't know, though, that Ray Charles is actually named Ray Charles Robinson.

    4. Pete Rademacher was a 1956 Olympic gold medalist that turned pro and fought for the world heavyweight title in his very first fight, dropping champion Floyd Patterson early on before suffering a sixth round stoppage.

    5. Both Egerton's 1988 Olympic gold medal fight and his IBF world title fight resulted in decision losses to the same man, Germany's Henry Maske.

    6. Donald Sample is the birth name of two-division world champion Donald "The Lone Star Cobra" Curry.

    7. Muhammad Ali's brother, Rahman, once scored a technical knockout victory over Chris Byrd's father Joe back in 1971.

    8. Ali's brother, Rahman Ali, lost his final pro fight in 1972 on an 8th round stoppage at the hands of Jack O' Halloran. O' Halloran was best known as the huge guy that was the nameless villain/enemy of Superman in "Superman 2" with Christopher Reeve.

    9. Joe Byrd also fought the promoter generally credited with bringing Don King into the game, Don Elbaum, beating him on a four round decision back in his (Byrd's) pro debut in 1964. Elbaum fought three pro fights back in the 1960's, including one fight in 1969 that actually saw him fill in as a replacement on his own show when one of the prelim guys fell out.

    10. They all fought Oscar DeLaHoya in professional prize fights. Say what you want but Oscar fought....the best!!

    11. Pedro Lovell retired with a record of 18-3-2 (13 knockouts) after a career built on fights with guys like Ken Norton, Dwayne Bonds and Mike Weaver. Pedro is best known, however, as the character "Spider Rico" in both "Rocky" and "Rocky Balboa."
