The consensus on this board was that he was not "great". Just "Good to very good". I can accept that feedback
      .

I just don't want the other excuse to be "Floyd was bigger".

You got any excuses tonight, Roy?

Remember how you asked me to let you know when you are being a biased hater?

Well, you are being a biased hater.

What kind of performance do you need? A Corrales/Gatti type performance?

          Did PBF beat Zab "convincingly"?

I am always concerned when people use subjective words like 'convincingly'. Three judges watched ODLH-PBF. One saw it 8-4 Floyd. Another saw it 7-5 Oscar.

I can see Ricky winning the first two rounds, and then PBF stopping Ricky on cuts/swelling in round 9. All of the PBF haters will say "well, if Ricky didn't swell....".

Just like some are saying "Zab was destroying PBF until his stamina gave out". Yes. Someone on here said that.

PBF will stop Hatton. I don't know if that is 'convincing' for you.

The truth is floyd is no more than a BLOWN-UP 140lb at this point!! All the climbing thru the weightclasses was just for De La Hoya!! So when people say he is just fighting Ricky because he is a smaller fighter that's B.S. Ricky baloons up to 180lb in between fights and has been fighting 140 his whole career (since 1997). While Floyd moved up to 140 in 2004 against Chop-Chop. I don't get it with some of you guys, You say Floyd dodges the real comp & fights older fighters; then when he gets in with a prime-undefeated-young-hungry fighter you dismiss them as over-rated or he's 2 small, & my personal favorite he doesn't stand a chance! So if Floyd wins you say he was supposed to win & he gets no credit, but if Floyd loses it's a HUGE upset and was always over-rated! Such hyprocites, so let's put an end to these HATING & NUT-HUGGING THREADS & LET's JUST TALK BOXING WITHOUT THE SUBJECTIVE & BIASED POSTING!!!!

Floyd has a 72" reach and is 5'8".

Hatton is 5'6" with a 65" reach and loses so much speed when moving to welter(at least he did when he tried the first time).

Just to be informative, draw your own conclusion as to how tough of a fight this will be...

Regardless, the fight needs to happen...the undefeated yet overrated records of both demand it.

ha reat guy and a great fighter at 140. although at 147 i'm not sure if he can beat floyld until i see how fast and sharp he is on fight night. however one punch can change any fight and if ricky fights to hurt the body then it could be a lot closer than first thought.

mayweather is small for a welter weight, but he is taller and has a much longer reach than hatton. so i would consider him the bigger man at fight night. what weight they get up to during inactivity is something different. anyway for someone to suggest it means ricky is the bigger man when he's 180 may be correct, do you really think thats gonna help him? infact it prob affects his body adversely. 5 foot 6 and 180 isnt good at all lol

The truth is, Mayweather attempted some smart match making in this fight, to him its a low risk fight for a high reward, come december we will see if hatton is in mayweather's league, because mayweather himself and a few other pundits think hatton wont have seen anything like what he will see on fight night.

We'll just have to wait and see because floyd says he will not retire after hatton. If thats the case he would have to eventually fight Cotto, Williams, Margarito etc. Its unavoidable and I can't wait to see these fights when they happen. I'm not saying I want to see floyd lose, I just wanna see how he does against opponents that the public thinks will cause him problems.
