Is the upcoming fight between Hatton and Mayweather, the biggest superfight out there at the moment, if not what's bigger
Hatton 'v' Mayweather - Are there any bigger fights

Nothing's bigger. This is the fight that was first even considered in the back of a thought process in 2000 when Hatton blew 7ft Tony Pep away with bodyshots (a guy who had given Mayweather his best workout). Since then they've both grown, but taken very different paths, are very different people, and have very different boxing styles.
It is thee super-fight since Hearns-Leonard or Leonard-Duran. Not a mega-fight like Hagler-Leonard or Mayweather-De La Hoya, but a super-fight like Whitaker-Chavez or Toney-Jones only bigger and better.Last edited by Orange Sneakers; 08-23-2007, 06:07 PM. -
Its a BIgfight.. But for me I am more excited about Calzgahe Kessler.. just becasue it's a Unification bout.. BUT I know I will not be in the majority in thinking that..Comment

I think Calzaghe-Kessler, Taylor-Pavlic,, or cotto-Mosley will be better fights than the hatton-Mayweather fight.

I feel this is a HUGE fight.
......Qualified by the fact that I think this would be a great challenge for the controversially great Floyd Mayweather.. I go far enough to see Hatton winning this fight. The Boxing gods will hear the reaction on this one if it plays out that way.
We also have all the aesthetics to make this monumental.
And it wouldn't have to be some ****** joke like it was with Holmes and Cooney - the White guy has a very good chance this time.
Sadly, White America has been extremely apathetic about White boxers in recent times. Happy as it would make to see a caucasian pull off a fighting sport victory of this magnitude - I expect many potential observers will miss the moment and live PPV.
I'm not on that race **** myself - but my country is.
If we want to talk about business then we have to talk about race.
If we could switch the national origin of each fighter it would be much bigger.Comment
