How can Vargas get a PPV?

How can Vargas be on a PPV. Who has this guy beat. Every time i see him fight, he talks it up in the press conference, and then gets smashed in the ring. I think he has no heart, i can tell he doesn't train hard by the condition he brings himself into the ring at.

    I hope i get suprised.

But Mayorga TKO, KO is really firmly on the cards.

people want to see him fight because throughout his career he has built a large fanbase, and these people will pay to see him fight. Plus Mayorga is an attraction by himself as well.

I'm not a Vargas fan, but he does have a big heart (have you seen him against Trinidad?) He has victories over quartey and wright. But, this fight should not be on pay-per-view.... Vargas and Mayorga are two over the hill fighters.

If you look at the economics, this is the type of fight that HAS to be on PPV.

The pay requirements for both fighters exceeds what they can get just from the gate. Both fighters have limited futures, so the networks don't want to put up their own money.

So, it goes on PPV, Showtime handles the distribution with little risk, and the promoter (DKP and Main Events) and fighters bear the financial risk.

        Works perfectly.

Why is this a PPV? It's a pretty obvious one, but I'll answer it.

Well his last two sold pretty well.

Vargas has a very loyal following who always buy his PPV's.
Regardless of the fact the hasn't won all of his big fights, the fights themselves are exciting and that's what people want to see.
Mayorga is in the same boat, even when the loses a fight, their still fun to watch, look at his fights with Tito & DLH they weren't exactly boring.

PPV's are never based on a fighters skills or abilities or their records. It's the fighter's ability to sell.

I think saying Vargas has no heart is rubbish, he's a warrior and that's why he's fans love him, because he goes to the line win lose or draw and I'm not a real Vargas fan but you can't deny him that.

How many Vargas fights have you seen?
