I dont know...I prefer to look at fighters after their careers are over and everything.

but people that may be above Floyd....

    James Toney
    Roy Jones Jr.
perhaps Hopkins...but not a lot in my head

I really like Holyfield and all, I really do, but his greatness is more from the millions of comebacks hes had, and all the retakes of the Heavyweight title, not so much consistancy and outstanding opponents. I mean its really really good! but I think the 4 above are better...

If comebacks gave you points, Id have Barrera up there. and I wish I could put him up there...ah **** it I am anyway. add Barrera and Pacquiao to the list.

According to Floyd, that was one of his toughest fights. It is on that basis that I gave him a solid.

      I understand the record.

If he took fights seriously and trained for them like most do......He would be more than solid....the guys got skillz and is easily the best fighter to ever have so many losses.....aside from guys who fought back in the day and had a couple hundred fights.

And then I went on to say IN THAT RESPECT when you compare his last 5 fights with other favorites of the scene(His contemporaries) he is pretty average... I didnt say he ******..
I didnt say those guys were BETTER than him.. it was a basic comparison of the threat the last five fighters posed.. in terms of beatability

Which Btw way makes Jermaine Taylor have By far the best resume of the Guys I have named....
It still doesnt work, because it means that fighting Calvin Brock is better than fighting Oscar De La Hoya.

Agreed. Judging quality of opposition by tabulating numbers of losses does not work.

Oscar has five losses. Shane has four.

It works Because The point is.. No one Fights the best Fighters available.. Floyds resume is no better than Anyone else... he has had his hand Picked oppenents as much as the next guy I am sorry you dont agree.. but that dont make me wrong and you right except in your own minds..
Why should opinion matter to anyone but yourself? Its one thing to not agree but then you laugh and insult like somehow YOU KNOW IT ALL.. you are just as ****ing dumb as I am.. I promise..

The only reason I think it's the best is not so much the names on his resume, but it's because he's beaten all those names. Pacquiao has a good resume but it has losses to Morales and some no namers from years ago. De La Hoya has some good names on his but it's "L's" next to the biggest names on his resume. Hopkins has L's to Roy and Taylor, Roy has L's to Tarver and Johnson. Calzaghe just doesn't have the same quality names, and so forth.

so saying something wrong to prove something right is right? i am sorry but no.

Come on man, the idea of counting losses was bull****, you are smart and knowledgeable enough to know it. Hence my alteration.

Maybe I get tired of hearing about HOW great this guy is... when Clearly he has never proven that .. he simply hasn't done anything exceptional.. Nor has he had a his career defining fight.. And then hearing the same people who praise him .. put down other fighters for the exact same things Floyd does..

My pefect example is.. Someone saying.. That Paul Williams will prolly be the 1st guy to beat Mayweather..But that is still afew years away.. AND then it WONT BE FAIR because Floyd wont be in his prime anymore..

I dont know maybe I should have used the ages of The fighter's last 5 opponents instead of their losses

It still proves the point that no matter what I say.. Floyd fans will disagree and disagree with venom... Its like dealing with Religous Zealots

Floyd's legacy is ducking people and Fighting the guys who lost to the guys he is ducking...

Maybe you miss the irony in my posts..
