Who is the better fighter: Cotto or Hatton?

I think it's Miguel even though he has less fights under his belt for a variety of reasons. He's stronger, more powerful, a better boxer, and IMO has fought the better fighters. I think Hatton is a very good fighter but I question his win over Kosta who hadn't fought in a long time when they met and JLC was definitely an old JLC we all remember when he fought him. Also I just don't see Hatton beating Quintana or Judah much less KO'ing them. What do you guys think and who would win should they ever meet? Also the fight would obviously have to take place at 147 seeing as how Cotto can't make 140.

ill go with cotto just cus hes ought the better opposition and also looked good at 147 where he didint and came back down and cotto beat the **** out of a legit welterweight who was coming off a great big win over a very good prospect...............also cotto is a little more tech.

This is not a fair question or statement. You ask the question of who is the better fighter which really means in a P4P sense but then you dont speak in a P4P sense. You speak more of straight up. I think if your just asking who is the better fighter then you could go close to either way but I would have to say Hatton as of now. Cotto has the better overall resume but Hatton has the bigger wins. You could diss Hatton's 2 biggest wins but you could also discredit Cotto's. You could say that Quintana only beat a green overrated Julio, Zab hadnt won a fight in 2 years when Cotto beat him, and Paulie was in his 1st big fight against a guy who was way bigger.

Hatton beat the #1 man at 140 and beat the #1 man from 135 who moved up. Both were huge guys close to his own size. Cotto has never done that. Ill tell you one thing, Hatton is better at 140 then Cotto was. Hatton is also better at 140 then Cotto is at 147 in terms of opposition but the tricky thing is that there are way more better fighters at 147 then at 140. I also forgot the Collazo fight who is a guy that I think would give Cotto hell. Hatton won a legitimate title at 147 while Cotto hasnt.

Head to head is tough. I definatly think Hatton could give him more problems then you think but you would have to favor Cotto at 147 and I think Hatton at 140. Still, head to head isnt a real assesment of who is the better fighter because Cotto is a real WW while Hatton isnt as of yet

refraise the question *******, you should of asked who wins @ 147, hatton is the better fighter, but cotto is more powerful and would win in a fight
