He isnt 'Frank Warren cannon fodder' though. You dont think that Warren actually wanted Calzaghe to face him do you? It was public demand and boxing world pressure and probably Calzaghe's pushing the issue that made the fight happen.

No, i think Warren was quite happy to let Joe Calzaghe fight Kessler, it should be a good win against a guy who has never fought that level of comp, Kessler is a good solid fighter, i dont beleive he is on calzaghe's level yet.

Of the 5 or 6 fights that Calzaghe COULD realistically be involved in, this is maybe 1st or 2nd on the list in terms of potential risk. Warren usually prefers to aim for 5th or 6th.

          Excellent footwork,

One more time for those idiots affected by the new foot and mouth epedemic.

Who has Kessler beat? please give me one world class name.

Do you really think he is in the class of some of the guys calzaghe got in the ring with, namely lacy and eubank (im talking about when calzaghe fought them)

Now, i like denmark, they make nice bacon, unfortunatley they dont make great boxers, Kessler has the footwork equivalent of R2-D2 from star wars, if he could circle to the left anymore he'd probably cover the entire equator.

If he wins, it will be a shock, bottom line, he is another peice of frank warren cannon fodder, after the fight if he loses, everyone will ask the same question.

What the **** did we ever see in this guy?

You sound like you know **** about the smw division. I'd prefere to argue with a biased Calzaghe fan, who at least sounded like he knew what he was talking about.
Some may ignore the division, but that doesn't nesseseraly mean it's less competitive.
Due to the relative small amount of money you could make on an all european superfight, rarely sold in more than two nations, some big fights hasn't been made - I guess thats one of the excuses for the black holes in JC's record as champ.

Ever since hKessler got his first titleshot, he's fought high ranked opponents, hell, two of his latest opponents are still in the ring-top5, and now he's fighting nr.1.
Name a fighter more kvalified to fight Calzaghe @168?

Peder, i like you, but you can still eat my *******, the supermiddleweight division is one of the worst in boxing right now, calzaghe shouldnt even be there, for ages now we have wanted to see him go to america and fight a top guy, winky, hopkins, jones, dawson, johnson, now for whatever reason some of these fights have not materialised,

Put simply, Kessler is not in the same league as those fighters right now, and there is very little comp for Joe in that division right now, just look at the beltholders, alot of them over the year have been pitiful, he JC should have moved up ages ago.

                    No way,

                    Higher risk fights than Kessler:

                    Dawson
                    Hopkins
                    Winky
                    Johnson
Roy Jones, (possibly even now, im not sure)
