Eduardo vs Gibbs: When did this one happen!!!

Has anyone ever seen or heard of this fight???

I just saw out of the corner of my eye, this fight for download on some website and in the description it said "FOTY candidate. great brawl"

So i downloaded it and its AMAZING! Ive never even heard of this fight, i know of both guys, Eduardo has been on ESPN2 a few times and Gibbs has been in some amazing fights.

This is a very entertaining brawl. Not very skilled or anything, but its a really fun watch if your in the mood for a brawl

Boths dudes were undefeated, and it was a few fights before Edouard/Taylor. It's been on ESPNClassic a few times I think.

yea thats right. Great fight. I wasnt expecting anything that good. I love short brawls, that you can watch in like 15 minutes and still feel out of breath at the end

Yeah, I remember watching this fight and thinking it was a FOTY candidate as soon as it was over. I think this fight ruined both fighters though, especially Gibbs. Took him awhile to come back from it and he's nowhere near the same.

It lasted all of 4 rounds, tho. It was a good fight with both getting rocked a few times, tho.

It was from three years ago, around this time of the year.

Edouard was coming off of back to back draws against the same fighter (Dorian Bouapierre, I think), one on ESPN2 the other on ShoBox. Gibbs was being marketed on the strength of being Bernard Hopkins' in-law.

I was surprised that Gibbs' people pushed for - or were at least so willing to accept - this fight. I guess they figured Edouard was easy pickings, and would look good on his resume since he was still undefeated at the time (as was Gibbs, if I'm not mistaken).

Damn good scrap, especially for ESPN2, who actually enjoyed a very good summer that year.
