no, but the media hype there could give them are an easy ticket to world rankings.

Jimrex Jaca is a good piony fighter with potential but he only fough twice in USA and the 2nd time was against a world-class elite JMM which seemed abit unfair for him.

Celestine Cabbellero won DeLeon but DeLeon has more pulbicity and hype around him and Cabbellero is nearly forgot even when he hold the title.

Nobuo Nashiro from japan won the WBA title at his only 8th fight against Martin Castillo, which is impressive considering you 8th fight against a worldclass champion but nobody knows him here.

look at the title holder from SFW and below and tell me if mexician or fighter who fought them are abit more famous then some.

There is a mexician fighter who I seen in Jesus Chavez documentary, old time. He was fighting a mexician champion i think he was called the cricket and he won him. THat guy had and nice akward style:

seen his record he is good but look like is a retired
Nobuo is not known because it was only his 8th fight, and never fought in the U.S., he could have came over here but no. Look at Chris John, he could be fighting in the U.S. to get more exposure but hes too scared to do it. De Leon is more popular even with losing to Caballero, because he's an exciting knockout artist. Look, Caballero got a fight on the under card of a highly anticipated rematch, and he stunk out the joint, he ****ed it all up for himself.

if you wanna talk about the spotlight you been by Thriller in Manila they had it but where is there fighters?

Mexician had two or three or even 4 spotlights.
      They had Salvador Sanchez
      THey had JCC
      THey had Robin Olivera
      they had Barrera/Morales

so Piony only have Pac compared to those he is still not retired and on his carreer.

Freddie Roach said that buddy, and he's not Filipino.

And remember that in the two events that were televised, the Filipino was the underdog. So don't say the reason why Filipino's fought bums was to get them noticed. The reason they fought bums was cause they're at an early stage in their career and shouldn't be fighting for a world title/elite fighter yet. All fighters are brought along, and you think that just because it's a World Cup the Philippines will throw in Banal against ****ing Cristian Mijares or some ****? Prospects (or their managers) will chose the fight that's right for them at the time, just like Miguel Roman did against 31-14 Michael Domingo.
How hyped was AJ Banal before his fight? Probably as hyped as Miguel Roman... There's one person with him in his sig. That was it. Hes as much a nobody as Miguel Roman was except he took care of business.
If it's to early for them in their career, then what the **** are they doing fighting on a world cup
        ??????

Caballero went to Thialand and won his title on top of a buddist temple with a KO.

Chris John could have a manager problem or not good offer. You know Indonsia is not rich country like THialand or Japan he will fight for some reasonable amount of money. But nobody is interst in him because he is not a marqie name. even some of the title holder at SFW is ultimate unknown and Soto is more famous because he beaten B.Pac and Juarez.

have you ever heard about Mashpouir? or Somsak? they are exicting fighters too.

Look at my posts before the World Cup, I've always been saying Roman was not good, and guess what, I was right.
