Awesome! I salivate at the thought of two aging fighters who are showing signs of brain damage getting together in the ring! This is just what the sport needs!!

Evander can't beat ibragimov, but he sure can kick Joe Mesi's ass. Mesi is a fake ass champion.

God, how crushing would it be for boxing if those two squared off for a ****ing title belt. If Evander wins (which would be a travesty), and then defended it against Mesi...

I agree with the latter part of your post...Mesi is looking for someone to retire him for good.

I think Holyfield is smart enough not to waste his time and take this pointless fight for him.

Joe Mesi could beat Sultan Ibragimov, i'm putting that one out there. Sultan will probably fight Thompson after Holyfield

Even though I'm a fan of Mesi's, him targeting Holyfield(who btw hasn't even won the title yet) is kinda ridiculous. Mesi's been relatively active during his comeback, but against really awful opposition. IMO, Mesi has to fight at least 2 credible fighters to even be considered for an eliminator, let alone a title shot.

There's rumors that he's scheduling a fight with tough fringe contender Brian Minto in October or even Hasim Rahman. These guys are a 'step up' and an exciting win against either or, should get him ranked in top twenty. I wish the guy all the luck...
