    Trainers

Who is the best trainer in the world today? My vote goes to Joe Goossen, who seems to get every bit out of his fighters, acting more like a fighters mom than their trainer. He inspired Chico to action, he breathed life into so many fighters and squeezes every bit of talent out of his opponents. Best all time is definitely Eddie Futch, who trained Frazier and Norton, as well as many other heavyweight champs. The worst may be Lou Duva, who never really trained fighters (always had Tommy Brooks for that), but gave horrible advice in corners (Meldrick, the fights on the line here). Worst right now is Mayweather Sr., who destroyed De La Hoya, and who left Bojado for dead.

You can make that argument. He got Tyson up to do roadwork at 6 in the morning, which Roach deserves a ****ing gold medal for alone. Then he teaches Pacquiao how to box, and gets James Toney to beat Jirov and Holyfield, you can make that argument.

Olivaritos Morales - Erik Morales, father and trainer.

I think he is a good trainer because despit him being the trainer they constantly get help from many other trainers in the sport to help polish his son's skills, in a way its like Morales has everyone as a trainer.

Second - Nacho Beristain - The Man calls it like it is and knows how important conditioning is in the sport. Trains his fighters at 12000 feet.

Mayweather Sr. claims Roger Mayweather, his brother, is a horrible trainer for "Little Floyd" (Mayweather Jr.) He says, Roger can't train, he can only hold up focus mitts, but he isn't a trainer...he says he wants "Little Floyd" back. He goes on to further say it's him who taught "Little Floyd" everything he knows and how Roger will just destroy everything by turning "Little Floyd" into an offesnive fighter. I don't think Mayweather Sr. is as bad as De La Hoya makes him look...
The shoulder roll is brilliant, De La Hoya just can't execute it properly.

I disagree, I think the shoulder roll is bull****.
I think Roach is the best thing going right now.

Have you seen Mayweather Jr. vs. N'dou, Mayweather Jr. used the shoulder-roll very well in that fight...

I must admit I didn't see the fight. It may work for some guys, like Mayweather who has great speed. I still like keep your chin tucked in, and hands up.
