WBA welterweight champion Miguel Cotto said today,"...it's the perfect time in my career to fight Sugar Shane Mosley." Cotto, 30-0 and coming off a brilliant performance and victory over a rugged, determined Zab Judah, said "It's time to get serious, get to work, be with my team and put the right kind of game plan together. I am looking forward to a great fight that will surpass the excitment of my last one at Madison Square Garden. I will train hard, like I always do, and be prepared." Cotto said he will train in Puerto Rico. His uncle and chief trainer, Evangelista Cotto, will put together and supervise a training program. Promoter Bob Arum told fight writer Franklin McNeil of the Newark Star-Ledger."...a win over Mosley, who is a great fighter, takes Miguel to a new level." Cotto vs. Mosley 'Fast & Furious' will be promoted by Golden Boy and Top Rank. It's scheduled for November 10 at Madison Square Garden and will be available on HBO Pay Per View.
