it would be a good fight........but gerry is to technical for deleon he wouldnt neccesarly beat him physically but i could see him winning on points unless deleon can really catch him flush.......but i hear gerry has never been koed in his entire carrer .....thats impresive

The 1st fight was closer than the cards suggested.. But De leon was the winner.. Penalosa is a technical counter puncher who's best shots could Not hurt PDL.. Gerry would have to be more Active and that would just leave him Open to a Guy who has the power to KO him...

I suppose Penalosa could win a descion.. But Ponce is so active I cant see that happening..

This would be a good fight, but I think both fighters have more immediate business to attend to before they face each other again.

Ponce de Leon should go ahead and unify in a rematch with Caballero, it's time. Caballero didn't look too good his last time out and Ponce de Leon I'm sure will have learned something from their first meeting. A rematch would make for a good fight I think.

Penalosa should be gracious and give Gonzalez an immediate rematch. Everyone saw what Jhonny was doing before that picture-perfect liver shot landed. Props to Penalosa for landing it, but Gonzalez was on his way to winning comfortably. Unlike the article says, Penalosa was not making Gonzalez miss that often.

i think pdl has teh edge. hes tall and bigger than gp. i agree their last fihgt was closer though pdl was the busier fighter imo that time. although gp was sometime the agressor but he focuses more on defense while pdl throws alot though not hitting much accurately that time.

First fight was by no means 118-110 or whatever ridiculous scores the judges had it at, but I thought Ponce de Leon won it, although only by two points or so. Penalosa had some great rounds though where he countered Daniel like there was no tomorrow and made him look like crap.

Overall though, Ponce was just busier, landed good shots to the body throughout the fight and deserved a close victory IMO.

Having watched their last fight I don't think Penalosa has much chance of beating de Leon if they fight again.
