ok it was a long time ago i watched it and i cant rember there name of the boxer init.

it was a film that was a true story. to do with a woman who was the first ever woman boxing promoter and she signed a boxer for like $1 (i think it was) and he was an ok boxer until he turned into a bum and go exposed. he was at a flat with the woman promter that she had just signed. then a man came in the room (he was black) and beat the boxer up. she then signed the boxer who knocked out the boxer she had just signed and then she mad him world champ

the name of that movie is "against the ropes" and i didnt know it was a true story but now that you have the name you should be able to figure it out

the woman was jackie kallen, the boxer was fictional I think.

Jackie Kallen and the boxer is LOOSELY based on James Toney, though more like a number of boxers she represented rolled into one fictional character.
