A twelve round NABF lightweight title clash between Miguel Huerta (24-8, 17 KOs) and Efren Hinojosa (29-3-1, 17 KOs) will headline Top Rank's August 30 VERSUS card from the Grand Plaza in Houston, Texas. The bout will be Huerta's first since his controversial twelve round split decision loss to world-rated Almazbek Raimkulov, a.k.a., "Kid Diamond" on June 14, also televised by VERSUS. Huerta dropped Raimkulov with a left hook in round eleven and closed the fight strong, but Raimkulov suprisingly came away with a one-point edge on two cards.

In the co-feature, super lightweight Victor Ortiz (18-1, 13 KOs) from the famed La Colonia Gym in Oxnard, CA, takes on savvy veteran Emmanuel Clottey (24-7, 14 KOs).
