In absolute terms, Earnie Shavers is the hardest puncher I've ever seen from both my memory of watching him live back then, as well as looking back over the videos of him.

He also has the support of guys like Larry Holmes, tough guys like Tex Cobb & Ron Stander, Bernardo Mercado, etc., etc, and even guys like Muhammad Ali, Ken Norton, Ron Lyle, Jimmy Young, and Leroy Caldwell (the previous five guys all fought Foreman too), who are all on record stating that Earnie Shavers was the hardest puncher that they ever met.

Not the hardest, I rate Shavers, Foreman, Liston and Lewis above Tyson in terms of power. However I rate Tyson as the BEST puncher out of them all. The form on his punches was incredible.

          BPP,

Maybe we should have one sticky thread for "Tyson's Power"
this will alleviate weekly Tyson threads?

Ernie Shavers has got to be one of the worst underachievers in boxing history; For all his punching prowess, he was unable to punch his way to a championship.

Biggest puncher bar none is/was Garry Delaney. My mate was there was he killed that troublemaker when he was working the door. Apparently this guy was mouthing off and all sorts. Delaney put him to sleep.

Wow Lewis does not hit harder than Tyson. The only reason he has such a strong right hand is because he's ****ing hugeeeeeee... If i was 6f5 260llbs and was a HW boxer.. Lemme tell you my right hand would be KO'ing people left right and center.
