If you're talking pure one-punch KO power then you're talking guys like Julian Jackson, Mike Tyson (he used to KO guys with one punch from weird angles), Foreman (one punch KO power with bad technique), Joe Louis, Joe Frazier...RJJ had it at middle and super middle.....

here is my list of the top 10 p4p not in order:
          G-Man
          Julian Jackson
          Erin Shaver
          Dempsy
          Mike Tyson
          Wilford Gomez
          Forman
          Arguello
          Hearns
          Tszyu

some of the things is abit unfair because old school fight gloves was different from which the gloves they use today or in the 90s

This thread could be interpreted one of two ways - Of the best fighters p4p, who's the best puncher of all time? Or Who's the best puncher of all time, regardless of other boxing skills? In either case, it's rather tough to say, but since I have nothing better to do at the moment, off the top of my head (w/o reseach), here's my top ten in each category, in no particular order.

Best punchers among the best p4p fighters of all time:
            • Henry Armstrong
            • Sugar Ray Robinson
            • Jack Dempsey
            • Roberto Duran
            • Joe Louis
            • Muhammad Ali
            • Julio Cesar Chavez
            • Rocky Marciano
            • Stanley Ketchel
            • Sugar Ray Leonard
Best p4p punchers (regardless of other skills) of all time:
            • Mike Tyson
            • Bob Foster
            • Marvelous Marvin Hagler
            • Carlos Zarate
            • Tommy Hearns
            • Roberto Duran
            • George Foreman
            • Julio Cesar Chavez
            • Aaron Pryor
            • Joe Louis

              my #1 spots goes to...

              Thomas "Hitman" Hearns

Thomas "Hitman" Hearns split Marvelous Marvin Hagler's forehead open with a right hand. Marvelous Marvin Hagler, to this day, claims that the punch responsible for splitting open his forehead was the hardest single punch he received in his entire 67 fight career.

              my #2 spot goes to...

              Gerald McClellan

What do these two fighters have in common? Emanuel Steward.

#1 p4p hardest hitting trainer in history, period. Emanuel Steward.

One does not have to be a one-punch KO artist to be considered a great puncher. If a fighter is able to take-out his man with a cumulative effect of punches, he's still a formidable puncher. The end result - not the brevity of the journey - is what matters.
