I think he is very rough around the edges, but for some reason I think Pavlik can beat Taylor. Unfortunately, subconsciously I'm basing this off of Taylor's crappy performance vs Spinks. Taylor really doesnt impress me, but I mean the guy has beaten the best in the business and pavlik hasnt proven to be on that level at all. I dont want to go to Atlantic city to see pavlik lose. HELP!

He has a puncher's chance BUT you have to remember taylor (and his cornermen) are the experienced ones in this fight.
pavlik is still (i dont want to say new but) very young into his career and so far (in my opinion) miranda was ONE OF the best fighters he's faced.
taylor's crappy performance against spinks was half spinks' fault. they both looked like two dogs trying to sniff each other out the whole fight when taylor didnt have much to fear (not spinks' power at least...its not really there)
but taylor has put on great performances in the past...

a great fight with winky (no matter who won in the eyes of the public...it was still a good performance from both guys)
so dont count taylor out.
pavlik is going to want to press the fight (due to his slight size advantage and power advantage) and taylor is going to want to make it a boxer's fight (not a brawler's war).
so who knows.
it could be great.
could be bad but taylor has the slight edge overall (in my opinion) -
Pavlik will be a SLIGHT favorite in the betting odds to win the fight.
And yes, i think a lot of people who know what they are talking about are giving the edge to Pavlik while keeping it a virtual pick 'em.
And Pavlik has WAAAAY more then a punchers chance
EDIT: oh, and i also want Pavlik to win, and im making the 3 hour trip to AC to watch the fight

I think Pavliks chances are looking good, his agressive style might come in handy when fighting Taylor. Get on the inside and kill himComment

I think the question should be does Taylor have a chance againts Pavlik..I think Pavlik is going to beat Taylor most likely by TKO..this guys hits hard and has a huge heart he showed it againts MirandaComment

It's understood that Pavlik hits hard, but Taylor hasn't ever shown that he can't take a punch, and given his resume compared to Pavlik's, I don't understand how a lot of people aren't giving JT a shot in this fight. I also think it's insulting that Pavlik is going to be the betting favorite. I mean, he smashed on Miranda, but honestly, who didn't see that coming? Whether or not anyone wants to admit it, Taylor is a huge jump up in class for Pavlik...Miranda is a duck, if he wasn't sick, Alan Green probably would've schooled him. Pavlik might win by TKO, but there is a much better chance that JT will box him up.Comment
