i feel if one fighter is being busy and controlling the round
for 2 and half mins there shouldnt be anything except a
knockdown for the other fighter to win the round.
but if neither fighter is doin anything for mroe than half
the round and one guy does something the last 30 seconds
well thats the other fighters fault.

You said the key word. TACTIC. That is a big factor in this sport, and that is what it is...a sport...not a "fight" although it is labled as such. It is a form of stragety.

You should try your best to win all 3 minutes of the round. If you allow the other guy to make it SEEM like you lost the round. You then DID lose the round. Because you looked worse in it. That's how the judging comes into play. Very fair.

A judge that watches a fighter win the majority of the round by outclassing the other guy, sees the losing guy turn up the heat in the last 10 seconds by throwing a flurry and getting the better of the exchange........and scores that round for the guy who won the last 10 seconds is a jackass.

That's how Leonard robbed Hagler, and it's dumb. I know for a fact I'd never score a round for someone "Trying to steal the round".
Agreed! The last 10 seconds shouldn't be classed as any more than the other 2:50!

judges that will score a round based on the last 10 seconds shouldn't be judges. The exception is if somebody lands a big punch or something that will edge him an otherwise even round.

That goes for any point in the round though.
