From reading these forums and the Ring Magazine, it's pretty safe to say that Jermaine Taylor is obviously one of the most criticized boxers in the sport. I may get bashed for this, but I hope, and think, that when he fights Kelly Pavlik on the 29th he will prove a lot of critics wrong and beat him. I could be wrong, and in that case we'd have to start a new chapter by crowning a new champion, but I still think that Taylor still has some more pages to write before his is over.

I agree. Taylor needs to prove hisself in this fight. He needs to come out and fight. Winning by split decision isn't gonna be good enough. He needs to win either by knockout or UD. -
I don't like Taylor but if he wins convincingly I will give him credit for the win. Even if it's a close fight. He has to show some sign of life. He acted like he didn't give a **** if he was there when he fought Spinks. He's too reserved in the ring sometimes.Comment

Hopkins,Wright,Ouma, and Spinks-all respected champions, Hopkins and Wright both P4P elite fighters. None of them could beat Taylor. What makes everyone think that Pavlick can do it? Miranda? Common people, miranda was a power punching b level fighter at best. Taylor didn't get past everyone mentioned above by being easy to beat.
Pavlick has a punchers chance and thats it. He is too slow to out box Taylor, and he lacks the serious one punch ko power needed to drop Taylor. Its gonna come down to his ability to cut off the ring and deal with Taylors jab. which i predict will resurface in this fight. Miranda was right there for Pavlick, Taylor will not be. If Pavlick can turn it up late, Taylor will be succeptible, but I don't see Pavlick doing that in this fight. By the 9th Pavlick will have eaten an obscene amount of jabs from Taylor and will be too cautious!
Taylor by late stoppage or ud!Comment

Taylor won't KO anyone he was afraid to mix it up with Spinks. What makes you think he'll stand in there to KO a power puncher like Pavlik? I'm not overrating Pavlik. One thing he can do is punch. One thing Taylor does not do his cover up he's an easy target. And Taylor doesn't use his jab.
Not long till the fight-we will see soon enough. If u read my post i said i expect Taylor's jab to resurface in this fight. Pavlick is a volume puncher as evident in the Miranda fight. he also had an opponent comming to him, Taylor will box. Palick will come forward andeventually run into a right hand. May not stop Pavlick, but will make him cautous. I said late stoppage or Ud!Comment

^^^ it will be another win. rather it be by ko, or ud, or split. it will be a win, and for that he will get credit because he still be without an loss.Comment
