    Assassin,

The weakness (one of many) in your argument is that...WHY DID THEY HAVE TO VOTE A RELATIVELY UNKNOWN GUY AS #1 IN THE FIRST PLACE??

What "damage" is it doing to the sport if you vote Manny as #1, Hopkins as #2, Taylor as #3, and Floyd as #4? Boxing would implode on itself?

Ring Magazine will go out of business by having PBF as their #5 or #6 P4P guy??

On one hand, I hear everybody telling me how unlikeable, unpopular and arrogant Floyd is. OK, fine. I can see that. And then you say some there's some vast conspiracy to have this '*******' as the face of the sport.

Nice try. But you really should try logic in the future.

    ...and the word is "PAID".

Didn't Floyd already cash his golden ticket against DLH....everything else is a cherry on top and good luck to him.

The editorial staff at Ring Magazine have had him on their P4P list for TEN YEARS.
9 out of ten boxing writers just voted him #1 p4p for the Yahoo pole. The other one voted him #2.
Bill Parcells (a fan) said PBF was #4 on his all-time list.

Soooo, who exactly are the "veterans" that "disregard" PBF? Please name a few objective experts for me.

Can I ask you a question? If Castillo (and Corrales) weren't prime p4p caliber fighters when PBF fought them, what was Castillo when Hatton fought him at an advanced age?

While you are busy hatinjg, Floyd is busy making millions, winning titles and paving a Hall of Fame career. What is YOUR legacy?
        Get'em boy. Nuff said!!!

Bert Sugar paid to hype Mayweather? Yeah right. Stop making excuses. I don't want excuses when Hatton loses.

I thought you made it quite clear that Castillo was not a prime pound for pound fighter when Hatton fought him. Yep, your feelings were pretty hard to misinterpret on that point.

Castillo was not p4p ranked when Floyd fought him. Neither was Corrales. Hatton would be the first guy who is a current p4p fighter on fight night.

Corrales was. Not top five, maybe. But he was.

Floyd can and will cash in the Golden ticket. After he pounds Hatton into submission, he will be able to demand $30 million in his next fight against De La Hoya or at leastt $15 million against the winner of Cotto/Mosley if De La Hoya is too selfish and greedy to make the Mayweather fight.

I dunno, man. Bad things happen when people 'demand' a purse vs Oscar. Does FMJ have that type of clout? Will he?

Shane turned down a ten mil offer for DLH-SSM 3. And then he went and got dusted by Winky for a fraction of that. By contrast, Bernard turned down five mil to fight a bigger RJJ, and got ten mil to fight a smaller ODLH.

Whatever the number PBF can make vs. Oscar, take it. It is a very winnable fight for a bigger number than he will get anywhere else.

FMJ is getting a rumoured $16 mil for Hatton. So that Cotto number may be high. Unless Cotto picks up alot of fans and name recognition soon.

Side note: one of the reasons that I think PBF will beat Hatton so badly is because he knows that he needs a highlight reel-type fight to galvanize the boxing public.

Nobody can do that to ODLH. But Hatton....? We'll see.

Isn't that OFTEN the case? JUst keep winning, and good things happen for you.

Hop was in the #1 spot. Hop lost. Floyd kept winning. Cemented it by moving up in weight. And winning real belts.

Shane has a total of ONE good win in his career. He'll get a second one before Thanksgiving, though.
