      Addressing Your Points

Gatti-Ward I was voted TV Guide sporting event of the year; Judah got a MASSIVE profile in SI prior to Tszyu and was the B-side of a heavily covered, and big-ticket drawing, fight with Spinks. In other words, both were arguably more famous than Floyd at fight time. As to Baldo, 10,000 seats full is not the same as tickets sold and the PPV #'s were lower than for either of the other bouts. 275-375 is about average and that's what Floyd did without DLH. Tito and Vargas are some of the only fighters who have gotten much above that consistently this decade.
      1) Other than the main presser and, of course the weigh-in, Zab Judah didn't participate in a single promotional event for the Mayweather fight.

      2) Zab Judah had JUST fought IN HIS OWN ****IN HOMETOWN OF NEW YORK CITY, and couldn't sell out the Theatre at MSG. Do you rememebr his excuse for losing to Baldomir? That he was trying to promote and sell tickets the week before the fight. Zab did not sell out a 5,000 seat arena in a Showtime fight in New York City.

A "huge magazine profile prior to Tszyu"? THAT WAS SEVEN ****IN' YEARS AGO!!

      3) The Spinks-Judah fight did very nice GATE. But that was a SHO card. Showtime has about one-third of the subscribers as HBO. That card did not draw the casual fan.

      4) How many PPV cards have Baldomir, Judah or Gatti carried without Floyd. Add 'em up.

      5) David Lee Roth was very annoying at the presser for the Van Halen reunion tour. I just needed to mention that.

      6) Baldomir fight was PBF's lowest. And it STILL did as much as any fight in the Barrera-Morales or Pacquioa-Morales trilogies.

      7) Please notice that Oscar never did 2.2 million before. IT TAKES TWO.

      8) I agree that Vargas and Trinidad have been the biggest draws at the middle divisions.

Wait, you mean welters sell more than feathers? What a revelation.

As to Baldo-Judah, that was largely because Baldo was seen as a gross mis-mandatory. Shall I tell you how much fun it was to go to Mayweather-Sosa and see a 1/4 empty arena. How about those stellar ticket sales for Mayweather-Corrales...or Castillo...

To disagree that Vargas and Tito were the consistent biggest non-Oscar draws of the decade is fine, but it's also point blank wrong. Roy Jones only cracked 400K buys once his whole career with Ruiz. Hopkins has only done it with Oscar and Tito. Hell, Tito cracked 400 with Mayorga.

Regardless, I'm not saying Mayweather hasn't made promotions bigger...but he hasn't been the 'draw'. This time, without a doubt, he is and the proof will be in the pudding because Hatton-Mayweather is a hell of a fight.

Everything you said made perfect sense, that in bold however is more factual than the rest.

C Rold. I did not disagree re Vargas/Tito. See my point #8.

Also, when WE are talking, I'm gonna ask you to park the sarcasm. It comes off as "sissy", and beneath you.

I posted the PPV history. Floyd is a full standard deviation above the mean.

                Sorry.

The last time VH was doing a reunion tour, they invited DLR. He showed up at the presser and acted an ass. So Eddie immediately kicked him off.

Here it is, years later. David has been out doing his lounge lizard **** and has made very little money. He played small clubs.

You would THINK that he would have learned his lesson, tone down his Hollywood act and not try to upstage the band. What a ****wad he is.

I heard Larry Merchant call him great.
The editorial staff at Ring Magazine have had him on their P4P list for TEN YEARS.
9 out of ten boxing writers just voted him #1 p4p for the Yahoo pole. The other one voted him #2.
Bill Parcells (a fan) said PBF was #4 on his all-time list.

Soooo, who exactly are the "veterans" that "disregard" PBF? Please name a few objective experts for me.

Can I ask you a question? If Castillo (and Corrales) weren't prime p4p caliber fighters when PBF fought them, what was Castillo when Hatton fought him at an advanced age?

While you are busy hatinjg, Floyd is busy making millions, winning titles and paving a Hall of Fame career. What is YOUR legacy?
Everyone u mentioned is PAYED to hype the current p4p list. Off camera, everyone will tell you how weak Mayweathers resume is. They are not going to hurt an already hurting sport by trashing the current p4p1 guy regardless of the legitimacy of that guy!
