Question for the forum: Was Hagler ever knocked down?

eh I would say he was hurt, but he got rocked.

or buzzed or stunned or whatever you want to call it.
Getting hurt to me is stumbling across the ring or something more severe.

nobody can say he was never stunned- that was the whole reason hagler/hearns was such a legendary fight. they were both looking bad at different moments in the first round. (aka one of the craziest rounds ever in boxing)

but we all know it was our man hagler who finished the job in round 3. i wish more fighters would lay it all out on the table like they did. the fact that it was a 3rd round knockout has never reflected that badly on hearns simply because the pace of the fight was so insane. so damn entertaining.

The only person to ever score a "questionable" knockDown on my man Marvin Hagler was Juan Roldan at the start of round one. It was more that Hagler was off balance, and as physics would have it, slipped. He did touch the canvas, it wasn't a "notable" KD, but non the less, it is official. But no one has ever dropped the Marvelous one!

Oh...that's who it was,Rodan...I did recall a phony knock down in his career.

And I'm sure Marvin was hurt at different times in his career...but that just made him mad.
As for him against anybody today...guys like Taylor,Pavlik,Winky,he would use and abuse them.B-Hop...it would be a good fight,just because of B-Hop's ring smarts,but ultimatly Marvin would get him.
He could probably move upand kick Calf-agie's ass.

Hagler was one of, if not THE toughest fighters since Jake LaMotta

I dont think so there was much more tougher oppenet the 90s middeweight era have tons of people that could make the competitive fight for Hagler based on many of his great win was from his size like Duan and Lenard.

but what if he fought James Toney, Roy Jones, Micheal Nunn, Julian Jackson, the G-Man....etc it would been a different case it would make him work more. Some of those guy hit harder and faster than anyone of Hagler ever faced before

The Roldan "Knock down" happened in the first 20 seconds of the fight. Roldan comes rushing like a bull, swipes Hagler ON TOP OF HIS HEAD WITH MOSTLY FOREARM, Hagler slips on some water at the same time. Hagler gets up PISSED and boxes Roldan's eyes shut for the rest of the fight.
