    green vs lacy ?

    who wins ?

i would favor green . he is better on the outside , and as good movement to stay on it , and his jab is sharp.

lacy hits like a truck , but green has a great chin .

on skills and experience , i favor green by UD , after some shaky moments.

BTW both guys beat calzaghe IMO .

    No they wouldnt beat him!!

Green wins the fight for me.

I dont think Lacy could hurt Green but i'm pretty sure Green could hurt Lacy, i'm not saying Green punches harder than Lacy but Green has a solid chin and is a big puncher! I also think Green has quicker hands and better skills.

I like Green. I think he would beat Lacy. He seems to have some good technical skills. The 1st knockdown he scored over Beyer was a beaut. He ducked a BEyer right and nailed him with a left. It was excellent.

168 is suddenly looking a little interesting. Ottke is gone and it seems Calzaghe will be soon. This actually helps the division.

agree , 168 used to suck , now it s becoming exciting . good champs , guys with charisma , punchers , but lack of hungry contenders ala 140.

I don't think you could be more wrong when you say Lacy couldn't hurt Green. Lacy is the biggest puncher I've seen from 175 on down. His uppercuts and skills on the inside can be devastating. I think this bout would be close and could go either way. If Green frustrates Lacy on the outside and doesn't over extend himself than he could probably take a UD or late TKO. I've never really seen Lacy's chin put to the test and this would be the first guy to do it. Then again I can see Lacy knocking Green out cold.

Danny Green is exactly what Lacy doesn't need right now. Lacy needs an Omar Sheika or an Antwun Echols in his first defense. Danny Green is too skilled and strong for the young Lacy. Maybe in his 3rd defense they could set that up in Europe where it would be a big fight, but its simply not marketable in America. Great action fight, Green drops Lacy in the 5th and wins a UD12.

Maybe lacy could hurt Green but not stop him. Nobodys seen Lacys power put to the test yet. Anyone can KO the fighter he has been KOing. Maybe he will prove me wrong but i know Green has a solid chin.

Jeff Lacy seems to be a very promising fighter but fighting someone like Danny Green now could be pretty bad for his career. Danny Green is a forever hungry fighter and he definatly has the power to hurt Lacy but i suppose we must not forget that Lacy can pack a substantial punch himself and Danny Green has been hurt several times too. I would be interesting but i think it's a fight that should come later down his career. I think Lacy has got the potential to be one of the top Super Middleweights and i think Danny has too. It would be a shame to see these two get taken out before they reach their full potential.
