I'm pretty sure it's a danish tradition, a fighter gives his opponent flowers before his 1st,25th and 50th fights. btw that bloke didn't take a dive, his legs were ****ed as soon as that punch landed.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVVyV...elated&search=

Here is Mikkel Kessler's own words about his debut taking from www.mikkelkessler.dk
"Of all my fights, there is one that will always have a unique place in my memory: my professional debut. It is incredible how vivid that fight remains.
That step into the big leagues came against a dense, stocky boxer named Kelly Mays.
Mays already had six pro wins and five were by knockout.
I was very nervous prior to the fight.
My nervousness meant I was not eating well and the sweat just poured out of me in my final training sessions. When we weighed in, my team thought I was almost too light 152 lbs to Mays 158 lbs. Then Mays began insulting me, calling me Baby face as I was only 19, and a boyish 19 at that.
What was going on? I thought. This never happened in the amateurs. After that, all I could think about were his five knockouts and my low weight.
At the start of the fight, I let him throw the first few punches. They did not come close to hitting me but they allowed me to time my first punch, a left hook that landed flush and staggered him a little. About 20 seconds later, I caught him with a straight right as he leaned forward and that was it. It lasted two punches and about a minute and a half.
From that beginning, I have become a multi-title champion and a prominent name on the world stage of boxing".Comment
