He obviously doesn't have a great chin, but he's a young guy and he still has time to learn some defence.

If he had a glass chin he'd have gone down earlier, Ponce hit him with some ferocious shots.

cant you guys see the difference in the quality of de leon's cross???damn, talk about downgrading a fighter not to give the wild one credit, i guess miranda and darchinyan really hurt wild fighters...

de leons power is his greatest asset but man, his hand speed is ****ing immpressive, he was beating rey to the punch the 2minutes it lasted, didnt even give hm time to counter....and he is a well spoken young man,who knows what he wants in life, i wish de leon the best....

I'd definately agree. For a wild puncher, Ponce is fast as ****.

agreed... he was way too sloppy against Gerry... he was throwing wide, looping telegraphed punches... this time, De Leon's punches were straighter and faster... bad thing is they landed on Boom Boom's chin

I agree I just saw the replay right now and he's hand speed was pretty good. Plus that 1-2 he landed on Bautista for the first KD was quick and straight. He threw his normal wide punches, but he had some good straight ones that really hurt Bautista more than the looping ones. I still think Marquez and Vasquez are the big dogs at 122, but PDL could present a problem his length, power and good hand speed. I think both would beat him, but they would be exciting fights.

i love my boy rafa, but i think de leon has a huge chance against that chin of his... not saying its bad because no one with bad chin can take vazquez's shots, but you can get to rafa's chin, and ponce de leon has ****ing power.... vazquez would break de leon though, styles make fights...

i disagree... i know PDL is tough as nails... but i think that Rafa is far too technical for PDL... add to that is the fact that Rafa can straight out **** with the best...

i know but i do think de leon has a great chance probably 70/30 in favor of rafa in my opinion, it would be just a punchers chance if rafa wasnt so proud and boxed all night, but you know he's gonna fight, and it could open the opportunity for de leon...
