Pacquiao Begins Tough Training For Barrera
Collapse
-
I'm a big supporter of Pacquiao, always have been and always will be. That said I believe Marco Antonio Barrera is going to win the rematch and I will be betting on Marco. Everytime someone has written Barrera off he's come back to silence his critics. He did it after the Junior Jones losses, he did it after the Erik Morales loss, and nobody gave him a chance against Hamed.
He fought a very close fight with Juan Manuel Marquez, one which I believe he would've won had the knockdown been scored correctly. There's no doubt Pacquiao steamrolled Barrera the first time but Barrera was ill prepared. Now that he knows Manny he knows what to train for and I believe he will beat him this time out.
I can't see any possible reason Barrera would've agreed to fight Pacquiao again unless he knows something the rest of us don't.
MORE MONEY!Comment

barrera does not need more money, he is already wealthy and is part of GBP in a top role for the company, he does not need boxing, he can retire and live very comfortably, i honestly believe money is not the motivating factor for barrera here, i think its more to do with pride and his chance for revenge/redemption. lets face it, whether barrera was prepared or not, he was given a hell of a beating at the hands of manny, this at the time when he was perhaps no.3 in the p4p rankings, pacman just steamrolled him, and im pretty sure barrera and even some of his fans would not forget this result and would want barrera at least to try and beat pacman this time. even if he loses, at least he has tried. and i think he can do it, barrera would not have taken this fight if he didnt think he could win it. and i beleve barrera will pull it off, i cant see him KO'ing pacman, i think he will outbox him and he will win on points

If there is one thing a pac-man fan and MAB fan could agree on...this will be a hell of a fight that every boxing fan should watch.

Please. Barrera could've retired happily off the Morales trilogy. Anybody who knows anything about the man knows that he doesn't fight for money, he fights for pride. Barrera is a very prideful guy and he's not going to back out of a Pacquiao rematch.
Again, Barrera knows something that the rest of you don't. He will beat Pacquiao, mark my words.Comment

After seeing the JMM MAB fight I was thinking to myself.... Man MAB looked really good. I was actually fearing a rematch because of the way PAC has been and all his distractions. I think we will see an even more focused and more active MAB than we saw in the JMM fight. And I also think that we will see a less focused and less conditioned PAC. Hopefully its still enough to pull the win. 7 damn weeks to go!Comment

I have heard that a thousand tines, Manny has to cram, Manny is not foused, Manny has a lot of distractions, Many is this and that, yadih, yadah, yadah. But what happens after the fight, he always comes out victorious (except for the first EM fight but that's another story). After seeing the JMM MAB fight I was thinking to myself.... I also heard the same argument that a great fighter has still one good fight left in him. I heard that in Pac-Larios, Pac-Em2, Pac-Em3, etc. etc. I won't say anything, anymore - you know what happened.
I bet ya'll. After Pac wins against Barrera, everybody will say that he beat a washed up fighter and ya'll know who you are. Mark my word.
Chill out Pacsters. Pac is on another level. Pac by TKO11.Comment
