Pacquiao Begins Tough Training For Barrera

Its an undeniable fact that when Filipino ring idol Manny Pacquiao walks into the Wild Card Gym of celebrated trainer Freddie Roach in Los Angeles to begin preparations for a fight, he virtually kills himself in training. [details]

I'm a big supporter of Pacquiao, always have been and always will be. That said I believe Marco Antonio Barrera is going to win the rematch and I will be betting on Marco. Everytime someone has written Barrera off he's come back to silence his critics. He did it after the Junior Jones losses, he did it after the Erik Morales loss, and nobody gave him a chance against Hamed.

He fought a very close fight with Juan Manuel Marquez, one which I believe he would've won had the knockdown been scored correctly. There's no doubt Pacquiao steamrolled Barrera the first time but Barrera was ill prepared. Now that he knows Manny he knows what to train for and I believe he will beat him this time out.

I can't see any possible reason Barrera would've agreed to fight Pacquiao again unless he knows something the rest of us don't.

I agree. Pacquiao is not going to steamroll him like he did the last time. It will be a great fight. Fight of the year potential for sure.

Agreed. Pacquiao is an amazing fighter and very exciting to watch and I take nothing away from him, but people tend to forget just how smart Marco is in the ring.

I've got Pacquiao by decision, Barrera will win 4 rounds tops IMO.
