Id like to see him against Williams or Judah or Cintron. But I don't see him winning either of them.

I like what I saw from him yesterday. He showed he could box from the outside. And counter his opponents with straight hands. He looked good and if it was a keep busy fight it definitely served its purpose. Because Flores was tough as nails.

Skill wise he can hang with anybody in the division. He has a really good arsenal of combinations. And he is a very good body puncher. I think he has the ability to fight on the outside. But his style is more of inside fighting, where he can throw crisp combinations and **** to the body.

I don't think Clottey looked to well fighting from the outside. I think it is something he is working on and tried in this fight because he felt Flores wasn't that skilled of a boxer himself. Clottey looked a little uncomfortable fighting from the outside and if this something he plans on doing in a fight against any top WW I think its going to give him problems than his opponent. Probably could pull it off with a lot more work.

I thought it was funny how they kept thinking that he hurt his hands after the 4th. And when they asked him at the end.... Did you hurt your hands? And he said no. He looked different after the 4th to me too. I wonder what really did happen.

Well he did good in spurts. Last night he had his moments where he would counter with straight shots. But fighting from the outside is not his strong point. However, even if someone tries to fight him from the outside he definitely has the speed to get on the inside. Although no one has used their jab against him yet. But as far as his movement with his legs, and his balnce he it looks like with more work he could be a good outside fighter.

He started pacing himself to go the distance. That was a pretty good fight on versus. If Flores was a harder puncher Clottey would have been in trouble from that body attack that Flores sustained throughout the bout.

People are inflating his skills and abilities though. He has tools, but nobody in their right mind can put him in a top 5 list at welterweight........especially seeing as how Oscar moved back down.

And I only typed the last part because believe it or not, people were really quick to call him one of the top welterweights.

Top 10 for sure, no doubt though.
clottey had a good performance against a badly injured margarito and they want to hype him up. hes not that good. margarito beat him with an injured ankle and hand.

No reason for you to make excuses Margarito won the fight.

"Clottey's promoter, Top Rank president Bob Arum, told the paper that his fighter is very close to landing a title shot and capable of hanging with best welterweights in the world."

"There's no question he can compete with (WBO champ) Paul Williams, (IBF champ Kermit) Cintron or (WBA champ Miguel) Cotto. Mayweather is probably too fast for him, but we're talking about Mayweather here."

That's funny how Marg's own promoter didn't mention his name as one of the best in the welterweight division.
