    Kevin Johnson

I just watched the shobox with him and wills, First time hearing of him, What a freakin jackass. I already hate this guy, sure he beat up on a nobody with no skills, All he has is a quick but still mediocre jab, what the hell is this guy so ****y about? Am I missing something?

no youre not missing anything, hes just another guy who is in for a bad reality check when he steps up in class.

i havent see the showbox but i read from a respected source that johnson was actually turning and talking to the ring card girls during the fight, which is pretty damn ridiculous in my book.

Yeah he was, It was ridiculus, The guy had no class, and even less skill. Can't wait for his ass whoopin to come. At least the ring girls didn't respond well, when he was trying to talk to them which he did all frekin fight, they were cheering the other guy to knock him out, But that guy just didn't have it, It ran out of steam after round 2. Do you like shobox? most of the time I find it boring and havent' really seen a fighter that I'm intrested in following his carrer.

nah dont really care for shobox, i dont have showtime and rarely does a fight get enough attention for me to go to my friends house and watch the replay ondemand

though codrington/green will go down in history as one of my favorites and im pretty sure that was a showbox fight

I agree that it's good that we see fighters that we normally wouldn't have. Would you rather watch friday night fights on ESPN2 or Shobox? and you didn't miss much, a featherweight in the first fight named hunter looked ok, good footwork, nice hands, nothing to write home about though. remember when the had tuesday night fights on USA? showing my age with that probally.

I had a thought, A big thing in the sport is dwindelling fan base right? How about one or two big cards, All great fights, have the people in boxing put out the money to make the fights happen and put them on prime time regular TV, like NBC or CBS, bring america back into like the old days when that was a major sport you watched with your family like sunday night football,
Think about it a couple huge cards, big hype, prime time, you don't have to pay, I bet you get alot of viewers, and if you put togther good fights, you might bring boxing back into the mainstream, any thoughts on that?

This is a good idea. It would even be better than the status quo if there were more than 1 big fight on a pay-per-view card. I mean, who ****ing cares if they aren't in the main event, have co-main events or something. The coolest thing this year was the Gatti vs. Gomez, Cintron vs. Matthysse, and Margarito vs. Williams (too bad I was out of town and missed all of it), but more things like that would be sweet. Showcases of the best talent all from a certain division. It would also be cool if they had more unification tournaments like they did with the middleweight divison back in 2001.

No doubt, good thoughts, I agree with the whole welterwieght showdown they had on HBO. Lets you really get a feel for what you want to see next. I'm all about those kind of tournaments also. Makes you have to fight the next guy, if you want the belts. Keep it coming I think these are the ideas that will save boxing, not one mega fight between floyd and de la hoya for example. But you got my point about the one mega card right?, How about this for a card, Cintron vs. Williams; Marquez vs. Vasquez III; Cotto vs. Mosely; Hatton vs. Mayweather; Talyor vs. Pavlik. Some combonation of those or something, They could make it happen, and it would just mean more money for everyone involved down the road, plus everyone in america would know there names.

the guy had a decent jab, thats about it. He has no power at all. I cant wait to see him get knocked out. I thought some of those ring girls looked very good btw.

best ring card girls I've seen in awhile, you could tell to because show box made no quams about showing them after everyone round, sometimes more than once.
