  • So Whats next for Francisco Palacios? (The guy who knocked out Azille last night)

    Thoughts?

I got the RING TOP 10 right here for Cruiserweights...

    10. Darnell Wilson - Outstanding matchup if you ask me. Throw that on B.A.D. Id pick Palacios by decision, but a Wilson Knockout could just as easily happen.

    9. Vadim Tokarev - who?

    8. Johnathon Banks - Both guys have under 17 pro fights. Banks is with Steward and has the KRONK backround. And Palacios has the extensive amatuer experience and stuff. Another good fight. Id go with banks.

    7. Marco Huck - ???

    6. Firat Arslan - I feel like a ******. Idk who a few of these guys are.

    5. Enzo Maccarinelli - Macc is the better boxer, and the better puncher. He'd finish it early IMO. Maybe once Francisco Palacios gets more profession experience he'd fair better.

    4. David Haye - Haye is much bigger. He's fought at heavyweight. Id also pick Haye to finish things early

    3. Krzysztof Wlodarczyk - Cant find any footage of the guy although i have seen him train and ive heard good things about him. No comment.

    2. Steve Cunningham - Cunningham would be to cunning for Francisco Palacios. lol

    1. O'Neil Bell - Bad styles matchup for Bell, even though i think Bell takes it cause he hits really hard, has a great chin, throws well to the body, and is the stronger fighter. Probably a mid-late round KO.

CHAMP: Jean-Marc Mormeck - TERRIBLE styles matchup for Francisco Palacios. Mormeck fights very well going backwards. I think he takes Francisco Palacios in the mid to early rounds.

I've seen Palacios spar with Bell, and Palacios is a significantly better fighter IMO. Palacios is a tough guy to beat and was very competitive with guys like David Haye and Alfredo Escalera.

People have to remember that Palacios was only a 6 round fighter before he KO'ed Azille. He will be back in the gym on Monday to get ready for his next assignment, which should be in about 6 weeks. It's a great thing for him because he had so much trouble finding fights before this. He took the fight short notice because nobody else would fight him.

It was a good win for him, and maybe if hed trained 5 hard weeks for the fight he would have looked better.

But to be honest, i think Azille was battering him about, maybe even on his way to a stoppage win, if he handnt been caught with that great uppercut.

But Palacios looked good in there. But His one-two was pretty inaccurate. He was constantly landing his jab and then missing his straight punch u know?

I'd take him against Bell, Banks and Wilson. Like you, I dont know much about Tockarev, Huck and Arslan, but I'll gamble on my boys amateur and college experience with them. I've seen Wlodarczyk vs Cunnigham, and Wlodarczyk was dominant...too tough right now.

He's a decent boxer but I just don't think he's great and that he can beat any belt holders in the cruiser-weight division. He seems to suck against pressure fighters, he was getting his ass kicked before he got that ko last night. I feel his management team is rushing him because of his age and that they will pay for it sooner or later. But I bet you he doesn't take on another pressure fighter anytime soon.

His skill is good but he should stay the **** away from these guys for a while......he's got alot of work to do still and Azille was coming off a very long layoff and was never all that.

I think if he's offered a fight with Wilson he should take it. Its a risk but if he wins he's really in the mix u know?

Cause i think this guy Palacios may or may not be a better boxrer then NWODO, and nwodo was doing very well with Wilson. But Wilson just hits so damn hard, every time he connected flush it was a knockdown.

So the idea of a Knockout is VERY real. But if he sticks to a good gameplan and is careful, maybe begs for a shorter fight, then he could box his way to a decision
