    WBC Boxing: Salvador Sanchez Remembered

The World Boxing Council joins the Minister of Sports of the State of Mexico and the family of Salvador Sanchez to pay homage to Sanchez, one of the greatest world champions, on the 25th anniversary of his tragic death at age 22 while holding the WBC Featherweight title. Wilfredo Gomez, Azumah Nelson and Juan LaPorte will join this homage and visit Sanchez's grave on August 12 in Santiago Tianguistengo, Mexico.
