Miguel Cotto vs. Shane Mosley CONFIRMED

Mosley vs. Cotto set for Nov. 10

Pomona's Sugar Shane Mosley will fight unbeaten welterweight champion Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico on Nov. 10 at New York's Madison Square Garden, the fighters' promoters confirmed Thursday.
Mosley (44-4, 37 knockouts) last fought in February, defeating Luis Collazo by unanimous decision in Las Vegas. It was his fifth consecutive victory since losing twice to Winky Wright in 2004. Mosley, 35, has previously won titles in the lightweight, welterweight and junior-middleweight divisions.
Against the 27-year-old Cotto (30-0, 25 KOs), Mosley will face the World Boxing Assn. welterweight champion who retained his belt in June with an 11th-round technical knockout of veteran fighter Zab Judah. Cotto, considered one of the elite fighters along with Manny Pacquiao in promoter Bob Arum's Top Rank operation, won the WBA title in 2006 with a technical knockout of Carlos Quintana.
The Mosley fight will be Cotto's third title defense.Last edited by Addison; 08-09-2007, 09:08 PM.

I've gotta be honest I think Mosley is gonna take this fight by a slightly wider margin then most. Alot of people think that Mosley can't deal with Cotto's pressure and body attack but I think Cotto leaves himself open to too many clean shots. Against Judah he got hit with a few shots early on that had him rocked and if Mosley can do the same early on he follows up much better then Judah and an early knockdown or a few big shots will really slow down Cotto's pressure. I think as long as Mosley can control the first few rounds by keeping Cotto's body attack to a minimum he can win 8 or nine rounds and even score a knockout.

Get off Shane's nuts and realize that he's going to be the underdog in this fight, and rightly so.
