    Four Fighter WBA Heavyweight Eliminator

Just like the IBF four fighter eliminator, it has been widely reported today that the WBA is having a kind of tournament involving their four highest ranked fighters. Names mentioned have been Valuev, Lyakhovich, Ruiz, and *****ko. Williamson will be a replacement for any of the others who cannot or will not participate.

The winner would become the interim champion, and will fight Ruslan Chagaev when he's recovered. Because Chagaev has hepatitis B, there is a chance he will never be able to fight again. In that case, the winner of this tournament will be declared WBA champion.

I like the idea of eliminator touraments because it forces the top contenders to fight one another in at least two fights...

Also, what's the deal with Chagaev? I've heard of Hep C but never Hep B; what the hell is it?...

Tournaments are a good idea, good for fans etc.

But those 4 individuals are not Top 4 guys, I don't care what the WBA's reasoning is...
